The ministries at Second happen in a large part because of one thing ... volunteers. When you use your gifts and passions to serve others, it honors God and allows our church to thrive.

Current Needs

Ushers
Greet attendees, pass out bulletins, collect the offering, and assisting the congregation in case of emergency. People of all ages who are willing and able to usher during worship service are encouraged to contact Brad Yarger, (317) 251-5216.

Food Pantry Volunteers and Donations

Volunteer while the pantry is open, or 'behind the scenes'. Contact Zachary Fawbush for details.

Ash Wednesday

Service of Penitence and Communion

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 7 PM

At Second, we celebrate the Season of Lent beginning with our Ash Wednesday worship service, communion and the imposition of ashes. The Season of Lent reminds us of the presence of the divine even during life’s seasons of solemnity, struggle and shadow. With ashes on our foreheads, the words of our mortality whispered in our ears, and the taste of bread and wine in our mouths, we enter the season of Lent.
