Dear CCP Families,

As you know, the news on COVID-19 is ever changing. CCP has had strong attendance this week and no known case of exposure or illness. We have learned this evening that many area school districts have closed effective immediately. With many of our teachers and substitute teachers impacted by these developments, I cannot confidently say we can fully staff our classrooms. We hold the needs of our staff and the safety of our students to the highest standards, and will not compromise on either front.

With all this in mind, and after much consideration, prayer, and a few tears, I have determined CCP will close effective tomorrow, Friday, March 13 through all next week. We will be monitoring the news as the days progress, and will communicate with you early and often regarding any further changes to CCP’s schedule.

We all appreciate the steps you have taken to keep us all healthy these past weeks. Your kiddos are experts at handwashing and do so routinely here at school. We have used our established sanitizing practices and the church has delegated staff to sanitize common areas on a routine basis. We thank you also for keeping your little ones with cold and flu like symptoms home. The health and safety of our students and staff are of the utmost importance. This decision has been made prayerfully and with all of them in mind. I will be in contact and will keep you up to date. We are grateful for this caring and close-knit community and the ways we support one another.
