Pastoral Care

“Pastoral care” or “pastoral counseling” commonly refers to the type of individual support that a pastor might provide in times of hardship or transition. Pastors are trained to offer a listening presence, spiritual support, and prayer. A pastor can also help identify other sources of support, such as counseling with a counselor or therapist, or support groups within the church.
