Experiencing God

When: Mondays, February 9 – May 18, 6:30 – 8 PM
Where: Zoom

Experiencing God is a class that invites participants to encounter the teachings of Jesus in a fresh and transformative way—engaging both heart and mind as we grow in spiritual depth and awareness.

This Spring's Focus:

Through the reading and discussion of The Wisdom Jesus: Transforming Heart and Mind—A New Perspective on Christ and His Message by Cynthia Bourgeault, we will explore novel insights into the gospel Jesus. Together, we’ll reflect on how these wisdom teachings can help transform how we see, live, and encounter Christ’s presence in our daily lives.

Cynthia Bourgeault is an Episcopal priest, renowned spiritual teacher, and colleague of Thomas Merton and Richard Rohr, whose work invites readers into a deeper, more contemplative understanding of Jesus’ message.

What to Expect:

  • Discussion: Engage the book’s themes and reflect together on how Jesus’ wisdom teachings apply to our lives today.
  • Spiritual Exploration: Discover new perspectives that help us see through Christ’s eyes and live more fully into His presence.
  • Facilitation: Guided by members of the Spiritual Growth Ministry Team at Second.
