Beyond the Bridge Documentary Viewing
October 14, 6 – 8:30 PM | McFarland Hall
Join us for an evening of fellowship, education, and community action as we learn more about two vital initiatives addressing homelessness in Indianapolis: the Thriving Families Initiative and the Streets to Home Initiative (STHI).
We’ll begin with appetizers, desserts, and drinks at 6 PM, followed by a program at 6:30 PM featuring:
-
Amar Patel, Executive Director of the Thriving Families Initiative, who will introduce the vision and work of this new collaborative effort.
-
A screening of Beyond the Bridge: A Solution to Homelessness — a powerful film that explores the realities of homelessness and offers real solutions through permanent supportive housing.
-
A panel discussion on local solutions, featuring:
-
Rev. Chris Henry (Second Presbyterian Church)
-
Chelsea Haring-Cozzi (Executive Director, Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention – CHIP)
-
Rabbi Aaron Spiegel (Greater Indianapolis Multifaith Alliance)
-
As part of the Streets to Home Initiative, we are also inviting individuals and families to help provide apartment kits for neighbors moving into permanent housing. A kit guide and Amazon wish list will be available to make it easy to contribute essential household items.
Together, we can be part of real change, supporting our neighbors as they transition from homelessness to safe, stable homes.
