Northside Garden Spring Kick-Off
Spring is here—and the Northside Garden at Second Presbyterian Church is ready to come back to life. Join us for two community workdays as we prepare our garden for a brand-new growing season of fresh, nutritious produce for Northside Neighbors and food pantry families right here in Washington Township, Indianapolis.
What We'll Be Doing:
- Clearing winter debris and refreshing the space
- Pulling furniture from the shed and setting up posts and trellises
- Spreading mulch and prepping plots for planting
- Bringing the entire Northside Garden back to life for the 2025 growing season
All Ages Welcome — There's a Job for Every Set of Hands
Kids, teens, adults, and seniors are all invited to dig in. Whether you're hauling mulch, setting up trellises, or encouraging those around you, your presence makes a difference in the lives of Washington Township neighbors who depend on this garden.
No experience needed. Tools and gloves will be provided — just dress for the weather and come ready to serve.
"Whether you're a returning gardener or brand new to the community, we'd love your helping hands."
Why It Matters
Every seed planted in the Northside Garden grows into fresh, homegrown produce for food pantry families in the Washington Township community. This is faith in action — neighbors serving neighbors, one plot at a time.
