Thursday - Final Day of Work
Update coming soon!

Tuesday - Another Day of Work; Another Day of Fun!
Today we once again had three work teams out.  They were incredible.  One group went to Fourth Presbyterian Church and worked with Summer Day Camp and Elam Davies Social Service Agency.  Another group served breakfast and spent time with the senior citizens at a local retirement apartment - can you say "BINGO?!" That group also worked in a local park.  The third group went to the community garden and the area surrounding our home base.

Monday - First Day of Work!
Today we had three separate work groups go out into the city.  Our first group successfully built new library bookshelves for a local elementary school on the southside.  Another group went downtown to Fourth Presbyterian Church to work with their Summer Day Camp program.  Our third group went to Inspiration Cafe in Uptown to help with a few projects there.  The students and adults alike shared some great stories and experiences together today, and we even got to visit Hard Rock Cafe for dinner!  Please continue to pray for us as we head into a second day of various work projects tomorrow morning.

Day Two Fun!
We had an amazing day at the Museum of Science and Industry and the lake.  We also had amazing Chicago style stuffed pizza.  We are ready for an incredible day of work tomorrow.  Please continue to pray for us.

We Have Arrived!!!

After a few hours of travel and some fast food, we got to McCormick's campus safe and sound.  Arriving a bit after 7:00 p.m. central time, we had some great fellowship together playing cards and inflating air mattresses (thanks again to families who volunteered theirs for the week!).  We had a time of worship together, signed our covenant, and had some opening discussion about what our week might bring.  In a matter of hours, we'll be up and eating breakfast in the morning.  We'll need the fuel because we've got a full day of Chicago sights planned: the Museum of Science & Industry and Navy Pier!  Please continue to pray for our students and adult leaders, that they would have open eyes and hearts to take in whatever it is that God may have in store to show them this week.  Check back tomorrow for further updates!

Grace & Peace,

Tyler
