Located on the first floor directly off the atrium, the Second Presbyterian Church library invites all through its open doors to relax and find a good book to read.
With books for children, youth and adults in all genres, the library is bound to have a book that you will enjoy. You'll find novels, Bibles, commentaries, devotionals, inspirational books and reference materials filling the shelves by well-known authors such as Max Lucado, Philip Gulley, Jan Karon, C.S. Lewis, Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Walter Wangerin. The children's area features picture books to chapter books, many of which were loved by church members and then donated to the library.
If you are looking for media other than books, the library is stocked with DVDs, VHS tapes, sermons on CD and magazines. We have movies for children, such as Veggie Tales, and inspirational films for adults. The library subscribes to many magazines, including Christianity Today and Smithsonian, so be sure to stop by often to read new issues.
The library is open for your convenience whenever the building is open. Self-checkout is easy, allowing you to pick up materials whenever is best for you. If you would like assistance in the library, volunteers are available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday morning.
If you would like to volunteer in the library, contact Megan Marquardt.
We welcome you to the library and appreciate your suggestions and/or requests. If you have questions about the library, please call (317) 253-6461.
