We are proud of the 48 high school students (46 freshmen, 1 sophomore, and 1 junior) who were confirmed into membership of Second Presbyterian Church on Sunday, May 9. We are excited for their continured participation in the life of Second Presbyterian Church. They represent over 10 area high schools. They are scholars, athletes, dancers, artists, musicians, and more. They are incredible children of God.
Niners 2010-2011 begins on Wednesday, August 25 with an orientation/information meeting for both students and parents from 6:30-8:00 p.m. This is a part of the Aspire Youth Ministries Open House.

Niners is a nine-month confirmation experience for high school freshmen (or other high school students who have not yet gone through confirmation or are transferring their membership).
Confirmation is another step in your journey of faith. You are not expected to have it all figured out! All of your questions are welcome and can be explored openly with honesty and integrity.
Niners is designed to take an in-depth look at the Christian faith with the Apostles’ Creed as our guide. We look hard into faith and topics such as the nature of God, the teachings of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Christian practices and much more.
Each Niner will be in a small group facilitated by an adult guide, as well as several of our peer mentors (upperclassmen). These groups read and study Scripture together and support one another along this journey of faith.
Niners is not a class. Niners is an exciting adventure of faith.
