Below is our normal worship schedule. Please refer to the calendar for a specific day's events.

Sunday morning:

8:15 Traditional service in Milner Chapel
This traditional chapel service at 8:15 is a slightly shorter version of the 9:30 and 11:00 services.  And, while there is normally no choral music at this service, there is usually a vocal or instrumental solo that makes the music intimate and unique.  Prayers, Scripture readings, and the preached Word, as well, often take on a personal quality within this smaller, worshiping community.

Rise early and glorify God in this contemplative, rich, and Spirit-filled setting.
9:30 Traditional service in the Sanctuary
The traditional sanctuary services abound with glory and praise to God through the fullness of liturgy, music, prayers, Scripture, and the preached Word.  The Sanctuary Choir lifts its unified voice to God in anthems and the congregation joins together to sing both time-honored and modern hymns.  These services follow a Reformed form of worship, which allows space for creative use of liturgical elements, such as sung response, and spoken creeds and confessions.  The congregation also regularly celebrates the sacraments of baptism and communion, which feed and wash God's people to be sent out as God's servants in the world.

You are invited and welcome to be a part of this gathered, worshipping body of Christ at Second and to join in a time for coffee and fellowship between services in McFarland Hall.
10:35 Service of Holy Communion and Wholeness in Milner Chapel
The Service of Holy Communion and Wholeness is held every Sunday in Milner Chapel for those who would like to receive the Lord's Supper and join in a reflective time of prayer.  This service is led by one of the pastors, as well as one of our deacons or elders, who together invite forward those who desire to be anointed and prayed for.  This brief service allows any and all who are seeking the comfort of a quiet place to rest in God's presence.  We invite you to come as you prepare for and give thanks for an upcoming life event such as birth as a child, upcoming surgery or seek peace following the death of a loved one.

Please come and be attended to by the spirit, as well as a caring pastor and deacon or elder.  Your family and friends are invited to attend with you.
11:00 Traditional service in the Sanctuary
The traditional sanctuary services abound with glory and praise to God through the fullness of liturgy, music, prayers, Scripture, and the preached Word.  The Sanctuary Choir lifts its unified voice to God in anthems and the congregation joins together to sing both time-honored and modern hymns.  These services follow a Reformed form of worship, which allows space for creative use of liturgical elements, such as sung response, and spoken creeds and confessions.  The congregation also regularly celebrates the sacraments of baptism and communion, which feed and wash God's people to be sent out as God's servants in the world.

Sunday Evening:

5 p.m. Families@Five casual service in Milner Chapel
A family-friendly half-hour of joyful worship.  Children, families, friends, and folks of all ages are welcome to come and glorify God through hearing the stories of God's Word, learning traditional prayers and creeds, singing familiar hymns with a song leader, and moving around the chapel!

Families@Five is followed by Sunday Supper in the Common Room, where worshippers are invited to come and share a meal together in Christian Fellowship.  This service meets during the school year.  Please refer to the calendar for specific dates.
6 p.m. Second@Six casual service in the Sanctuary
Second@Six is a casual, slower-paced, less traditional service held in the sanctuary on Sunday evenings.  This service, while not "contemporary," desires to be a place where Reformed worship is honored in a relaxed setting.  Prayers, Scripture, and the preached Word are always a part of this service, along with the weekly celebration of the Lord's Supper.  The Jazz Trio and soloist lead the congregation in music on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, while the Beecher Singers share their gift of music on the 1st and 3rd Sundays.

You are welcome to be a part of this worshipping community that seeks to be a thoughtful, restful place in which all people are challenged by the Word and fed at the Table.
