"Listen
to the experts!" "Trust the pros!" "Specialize!"
"Knowing is half the battle!" These
messages are helpful in some areas of life, but
they just don't ring true. None of us understands
God's wisdom in its fullness, so how can we be
experts on God?
Fortunately, the Bible talks about
wisdom in an entirely different way. Understanding
God’s wisdom is not about what you already
know; it's about a willingness to open our hearts
and minds to the new things God can teach us.
Writing about God's mysteries, Paul says, “Although
I am the very least of all the saints, this grace
was given to me to bring the Gentiles the news
of the boundless riches of Christ, and to make
everyone see what is the plan of the mystery hidden
for ages in God who created all things …”
Paul became our greatest teacher in the faith
not because of what he already knew, but because
God entered his life.
