Second Presbyterian Church and the CCO have partnered to reach the “missing generation” in Indianapolis. This position exists so that students at Butler University and young adults in the city can be engaged by a loving, thoughtful, passionate, Christ-centered community.
Dwight Podgurski brings more than thirty years of experience as a Public Speaker and Communication Professional in the classroom, lecture hall, and boardroom. A former Department Chair and Associate Professor at Colorado Christian University, he was also a national championship debater and college debate coach. Dwight has successfully trained persons at all levels in a wide range of communication skills and relational strategies including C-level executives, business and professional leaders, as well as adult learners and undergraduate students.
Dwight was the President of Colorado Over 50 Baseball for 6 years and inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2010. He is an experienced thespian with lead roles in local productions of Godspell, Fiddler on the Roof, and Man for all Seasons. Dwight has also appeared on several television shows including Sale of the Century, Joker’s Wild, and Love Connection. He has served as Keynote Speaker, Seminar Leader, and Master of Ceremonies for a number of local and national organizations.
Dwight lives in Carmel with his brilliant wife Dr. Lorna Jordan and the world’s most codependent golden retriever, Maggie. The former director of a university master’s program in curriculum and instruction, seminar speaker, and prayer team leader, Lorna is active in women’s ministry, enjoys leading Bible studies and is committed to servant leadership. Dwight and Lorna share a blended family of 4 extraordinary children (Joel, Janell, Jeff, and Kristin) and are proud grandparents of four amazing and talented grandkids (Martin, Emily, Seth, and Asher) living in Denver, Colorado.
