Upcoming Events for Adult Programs
Welcome to the Upper Room.
We are a small group study for adults looking to grow in faith while reading the Bible. Our class focuses on Bible Readings and self-lead studies. Join us Sunday Mornings in Room 403.
As we thought about what it might look like, Matthew 26:20 came to mind. “That evening, Jesus reclined with his disciples.” This happened in the Upper Room, just prior to the Last Supper. The Upper Room was host to many intimate encounters with Christ, and we liked the idea of reclining with Christ in a relaxed and meaningful way. The Upper Room was host to Peter (the greatest disciple) but also “doubting” Thomas, and even Judas, the betrayer. All of these men and women were there; closely knit together, learning, laughing, and loving one another with and through Christ.
As we began to meet, we agreed to focus on scripture. With His Word at its core, we all would be like the disciples, bringing our experiences, lives and knowledge to the room. In the end, we hope and trust that His Word could instruct, correct, and inform our daily lives. We don’t use study guides or the “best selling” Christian literature, but just the Bible. Our group has grown beyond the lives of those who have children, and our inter-generational group is ready for you to be a part! This is not a theological or historical study, but a life application study.
Meets every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in Room 403 – an actual Upper Room of the church.
