Mother's Day Out
Mother's Day Out provides an opportunity for young children to be cared for safely and lovingly in a stimulating environment while parents take a day to pursue personal interests. This program is not babysitting. We recognize that children are learning all the time and never as much as in the first three years of life. Each age group has an age appropriate curriculum. Christian traditions and Bible stories are a part of the curriculum as well. Our spacious rooms are well stocked and our staff is trained to make the day stimulating and enjoyable.
Nursery
Children in their first year of life learn through first hand experiences, repetition and imitation. They use all their senses to gather information about the world around them. They taste, touch, listen, and look. Our day includes music and rhythm activities, climbing, story times, and a daily ride in our Bye-Bye Buggy around the church. Our littlest ones are learning that Mom and Dad always come back, and to trust others to meet their needs. This trust is the cornerstone of developing faith.

Toddlers
This lively age group needs lots of space and teacher interaction. They are curious and are trying to do things for themselves. In our Toddler class teachers encourage use of language and provide lots of developmental activities — painting, playdough, pouring sand and water, reading and being read to, building with soft blocks and playing on our fenced in playground. Toddlers learn that God loves them unconditionally whatever they do!

Twos and Threes
At this age children are aware of others and practicing social skills necessary to enjoying each other’s company. They are developing a concept of “friend” as they dress up for dramatic play, dig together in our big sand box, ride Big Wheels, and listen to stories in our Circle time. We will share Bible stories about being a friend and learn about our best friend-Jesus Christ.
